Theory of Animal Rights

Joshua October 6th, 2008

Did you know that for every 2 pounds of protein derived from meat, that animal had to consume 13 pounds of plant based protein?

Does that seem like a waste to you?

If your interested in things like this, here is an interesting slide show.

The inuit only ate meat. No meat realted diseases though.
Untill there has been a study with meat consumption and genetic makeup, or ancestory, we do not really know how a lack of meat will affect each individual. Furthermore, there has been studies that show people process food differently determined by there genitic makeup.
I have seen lots of overweight poeple who do not eat meat.

i do not deny the enviromental impact of eating meat however.
The world has plenty of surplus food. World starvation has nothing to do with eating meat. Most of the time excess food is destroyed for price control.

Also, it would be nice if that slideshow had some of the info backed up by reliable facts. Not just whatever he wants to say.

And really, if there were anymore deer in this state It wouldnt be safe to drive on the HWY.

And what about insects. Destroying them would be “speciest”. How do you know plants dont have any emotions or feelings. You dont really. life is destroyed and born.

If you belive all this stuff, then you would also have to belive that abortion is wrong. It is the same logicial strain of thought that the slide show uses.

Really, maybe we should quit driving cars, buying computers made in china from factories that pollute the air and land. We buy clothing that is shipped from overseas also, gallons upon gallons of gas is used to get it here.
